Tension and balance in constant movement. Tonus works with the rhythm that holds us together. It is named after muscle tone, the constant tension that shifts with the position of the body.
The substantial sculptural Tonus chain is built from links hand-modelled in wax and cast in sterling silver. The links lock into one another like muscle attachments and form an organic row on the neck that adapts to every movement.
The outer surfaces are finished to a high polish, the scalloped notches cut into the folds left brushed. The necklace makes itself known through its weight and the temperature of the metal, so it brings you back to the present through the day – against the skin it turns into a soft, almost massaging detail.
The silver necklace is also available gold-plated, rose gold-plated or rhodium-plated. Price and weight follow the length, as links are added with it. The Tonus bracelet is built from the same links.
