Contours that follow the breath
A piece that follows every movement and changes its angle with the life of the person wearing it. In her necklaces, Maria Kobelova explores different approaches to volume and proportion within an abstract vocabulary of form. Her Prague studio produces fine pendant necklaces such as Imunita, and minimalist shapes carrying an organic grace, such as Duše or the pendant necklace C. Alongside these sit the statement chains – the choker Život, or the bold chain Big Paradox, whose individual links are shaped by hand and elemental in their making.
Maria does not design necklaces as strictly men's or women's pieces; she sees jewellery as unisex. In place of gender, her attention goes to the form and to what the wearer feels when a hand absentmindedly meets the necklace. That leaves room for the wearer's own character, ambitions, and ideals to settle into the piece, along with the aesthetics of the collection it comes from.
We make our necklaces and pendants in silver and in 14k gold, and in 18k gold upon request. Most pendant necklaces allow a small adjustment in length through the loops on the chain. Further adjustments to the dimensions of gold and silver necklaces can be arranged to specific requirements.
