Sculpted forms worn close to the mind
Earrings built on volume and a graceful, organic vocabulary of shapes. Each design starts as a wax model, where Maria Kobelova works out the balance between proportion, mass and tension. The results are embodied in C-hoops, such as EQ earrings, studs (Solar), bold asymmetric pieces as Quirt, and more dynamic drop earrings like Serotonin that sit on the border between contemporary jewellery and sculpture.
Maria models every design with the properties of precious metals in mind, so that a piece keeps its expression whichever material it is made in. Each pair is made locally in Prague, in sterling silver or in 14k gold — yellow, rose, or white. 18k gold earrings are available on request.
